Our Laura is Gone

Laura, our “do everything” part time employee, wrapped up her last visit to Catch Your Limit headquarters before heading to the Big Apple a little over an hour ago. It was really sad to see her go but we know big things are in store for our little fish.

She is headed to New York with no job, no car and no idea what’s next. Exciting right! We talked her out of subletting from some crazy cat lady on the upper west side and she eventually found a one-bedroom that she will share with another intrepid all-star from Florida State University Megan Gokey. Hopes are at their peak that she’ll find a job quickly and be able to experience New York’s high society. We know she can do it.
When Laura first came to us a little over 18 months ago we knew we had a winner. Not only was she smart (1 0f 15 2008 Florida State grads with a 4.0 GPA) but she had a personality that could deliver our ultra-high standards for FISH GUTS…

So much of a personality in fact that Tom started bringing her along to perform her world famous ice-breaker exercises at retreats with our clients. Laura’s attitude and willingness to throw herself into seemingly uncomfortable situations only endears her more.
One of Laura’s many duties at CYL was to bring in some inspiration to the rest of the crew every Monday meeting. Some inspirations were funny, some were serious, many were a combination of both and we marveled at how well she brought us all together.
Laura’s mother accurately described our last Friday Happy Hour as an “Unhappy Hour” as it would be the last for our Laura. Yep, we are going to miss our inspiration. So if you drop by the shop and our heads hang a little lower, you’ll know why.
