City Electric Turns the Lights Out on CYL Softball Winning Streak

Tuesday night proved to be a disappointing one for the CYL Softball Fish. Their second loss of the season came at the hands of the mighty City Electric Lights Out team. Boasting several former FSU and FAMU football stars the City Electric team turned up the voltage on their offense and scored 6 runs in the first inning.

The Fish battled hard and kept pace. The tying run reached second base in the final frame only to have a well hit ball by pitcher Phil Hayes land in the glove of the City Electric left fielder. 18-16 was the final. “They were using some bush league tactics.” said team manager Scott Baxley. “But we have to do better in not letting that stuff bother us.”

The next game for the CYL Fish is scheduled for Monday October 1st at 6:30 when they look to light up the Jerry’s Cigars team.
